Some charter yacht owners are able to book you directly with the charter company. This saves them on the sales commission - sometimes they can pass some of those savings on to you. Other owner's receive up to 12 weeks a year to use their yacht, depending on the ownership program. Many do not use all of it. For the unused time, some are able to sell it - similar to a sub-lease. These "Owner's Time" weeks are often offered with a significant discount to the regular charter rate.
